Professor V. Kumar of the UConn School of Business, Department of Marketing was recently awarded the 2007 AMA Strategy SIG Mahajan Award for Lifetime Contributions to Marketing Strategy. The Vijay Mahajan Award is named after marketing professor Vijay Mahajan to honor his career contributions and advancements in marketing strategy. Each year the AMA strategy SIG selects a marketing educator who has made sustained contributions to the literature on marketing strategy for 10 or more years.

 

   
In addition, Professor V. Kumar also received 2007 AMA IOSIG Lifetime Contribution Award for his research on InterOrganizational Issues. The InterOrganizational Special Interest Group (IOSIG) is a group within AMA designed to facilitate interaction among academic members of the AMA with an interest in channels of distribution, business-to-business marketing, and business alliances. The IOSIG chose Professor V.
